Sound the alarm: Katy Perry’s new single “Roar” has roared early.
The tune, the first single from her forthcoming third studio album Prism (due Oct. 22), was slated to premiere on Monday, Aug. 12. However, in the early morning of Aug. 10, the song leaked to the Internet.
In turn, “Roar” has now officially been serviced to radio stations and will likely reach the iTunes Store later today, or by Sunday, Aug. 11. The song will be aired hourly on participating Clear Channel radio stations, like a number of recent major single releases (ranging from Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey and Adele).
